Guy Munnoch

Guy had a full career in senior leadership positions in the public and private sectors.

He is a Non-Executive Director of Aviva Insurance Ltd. and Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) Specialty, chairman of Nedbank Group Insurance Ltd. (South Africa) and Strategic Advisor to BLM (a UK Law Firm). He is also Managing Director of Rupert Morgan Ltd, a leadership development consultancy firm.

He retired from corporate life in 2012, his final appointment being CEO of Zurich, Southern Africa. Before that he was CEO of Zurich UK, the largest business in Zurich Financial Services, with a $4bn turnover and 6,000 employees.

Before1997, he held several senior positions in Aviva and Allianz between and was instrumental in delivering strategic, operational and cultural change initiatives.
He spent 21 years with the British Army where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He commanded a broad section of units from parachute to armoured forces, all around the world. He has a passion for anything extreme. He has walked to the North and South Poles, completed a desert ultra-marathon, sailed the Atlantic, motorcycled across the highest navigable path on earth and, in 2013, successfully summited Everest.

Whatever he does, Guy has a deep passion for people and leadership, spending a lot of his time advising, coaching and sharing the benefits of his experience. His own leadership style strongly reflects his belief in the power of aligning attitudes and culture.
