Charlie Coode

After leading a business in General Electric (GE), Charlie saw the opportunity for organisations that could effectively harness their culture for greater success, founding Coode Associates in 2012.

Charlie’s early professional life was spent in the British Army, where he held various leadership roles (and also qualified to fly multiple types of helicopter).

In 1998, he joined GE where he spent five years in manufacturing, followed by six years in financial services (living in Prague, Czech Republic). It was here he spent three years as the CEO of GE’s consumer finance business, gaining many of the insights that led to him establishing Coode Associates.

Charlie’s varied experience has fuelled a fascination in what makes people and organisations ‘tick’ and the opportunity most organisations have if as much focus was put on culture and behaviours as it is on strategy and structure. Charlie advises and works with leaders in a variety of industries and is regularly asked to speak at conferences and to top teams around the world.

Charlie lives in London with his family and, over the past few years, has supported a number of large, multi-national organisations, including United Biscuits, Babcock International, Shanks Group, Nestle, QinetiQ and the British Army as well as supporting the leadership of charities such as Blind Veterans UK and The Challenge.
